Hotel Uses Scottish Window Film to Block UV Rays Without Blocking Mountain Views

There are a lot of unforeseen issues that can arise with new hotels and other hospitality properties. When you build properties from the ground up, certain issues may not be present until the property is actually built. A new Mariott hotel located in Colorado experienced this with glare. With all the beautiful, large windows that framed the view of the mountains, they didn’t realize that glare would be such an impactful concern. Unfortunately, guests weren’t enjoying many of the common areas due to this glare, creating under-utilized space. We recommended hotel window film for addressing all their issues.

The Advantages of Hotel Window Film for Your Austin Property

The hotel initially wanted to install roller shades so that they could roll them down during the afternoon to block out the glare. We recommended against this for two reasons: it would block the mountain view at one of the prettiest times of the day and they had so many windows that they would be spending tens of thousands in labor cost alone just to manage all the shades. Hotel window film was the best solution since it would maintain the gorgeous views and didn’t require any manual operation. Since they already had great energy-efficient glass, glare reduction and further UV protection were the only solutions they needed. We happily did pre-installations of over 10 different window film products to ensure they’d like the look of their windows externally.
