How to Choose a Window Tinting Product – Denver, Colorado

In addition to choosing which window film installer you would like to use, choosing which window film you would like to install at your home our office is an important choice. Here are some important window tinting questions consider before picking a film.

1. How energy efficient is this film compared to my other choices? Some films may have better rating at keeping heat out in the summer than retaining heat in the winter. Ask your installer which films might be right for your specific climate.

2. What is the aesthetic differences between my different film choices? Much in the same way as automobiles have different kinds of window tints, so do homes and offices. Some films are meant to be nearly invisible, while others may slightly darken a room. Still other films may be reflective to the exterior. While these reflective films may be ideal for some offices and homes, many other consumers, especially those in historic homes may not desire reflectivity in their windows. Make sure to consult your installer about which film has the right characteristics for your project.

3. Does your film have 99.9% UV protection? Providing optimal UV protection is one of the most attractive aspects of installing window film on your home or office. This protects you and your belongings from the damaging rays of the sun. Unfortunately however many window films do not offer 99.9% protection. When consulting your installer make sure that your films meet this standard.

At Scottish Window Tinting we believe strongly that Vista Window Films and their EnerLogic brands provide a wide array of choices while all meeting the 99.9% UV protection standards.
